Why We Created Sawyers Cove Farm
We designed Sawyers Cove Farm because we saw a need for a modern wedding venue in Central Alabama that offered both contemporary style and the peaceful beauty of a private farm. We envisioned a space filled with natural light, clean architectural lines, and flexible indoor and outdoor gathering areas where couples could create a celebration that feels authentic to them. Rather than following the traditional barn venue aesthetic, we intentionally created a bright, timeless setting that complements a wide range of wedding styles—from modern and minimalist to classic and romantic.
From our flexible indoor-outdoor design to our welcoming gathering spaces, every detail was planned with our couples and their guests in mind. We believe your venue should enhance your wedding, not define it, giving you the freedom to make the day uniquely yours. Ginny's family first moved to this beautiful, tranquil property in 1994, and it quickly became a place filled with family traditions, celebrations, and lasting memories. Growing up on the farm created a deep appreciation for the peaceful beauty of the Alabama countryside and the importance of gathering with the people you love.
In 2017, our family returned to the farm and began creating a new chapter together. Today, we're raising our three children here, along with our chickens and sheep, and enjoying the simple rhythms of farm life. Every season reminds us why this property has always been such a special place, and we're grateful to share it with couples beginning one of life's biggest adventures.

Our Design Philosophy
Every detail of Sawyers Cove Farm was chosen with intention. We wanted to create a venue that feels bright, welcoming, and timeless—a place where modern architecture and the natural beauty of the farm work together rather than compete. Whether your wedding style is classic, modern, romantic, or minimalist, our goal is to provide an elegant backdrop that lets your story take center stage.
New Venue. Experienced Perspective.
While Sawyers Cove Farm officially opened in Fall 2025, our experience in the wedding industry began long before our doors opened.
Since 2019, we’ve had the privilege of helping at Ocoee Crest, a well-established wedding venue in East Tennessee founded by Ginny’s parents. Through that experience, we’ve had the opportunity to work alongside couples, families, wedding professionals, and venue teams, gaining valuable insight into what makes a wedding day run smoothly and what truly matters to couples throughout the planning process.
When designing Sawyers Cove Farm, we drew on those years of experience while creating a venue that reflects our own vision for intimate celebrations in Alabama. Every detail—from the venue layout and guest flow to the flexible indoor and outdoor spaces—was thoughtfully planned with both couples and guests in mind.
We’re also proud to be featured by the MicroWed Collective and to be active members of the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce. These partnerships help us stay connected with industry professionals while continuing to serve couples throughout Central Alabama.
